STATEMENT OF FAITH
Scripture
We hold all 66 books of the Bible as the only inspired word of God; acceptable and sacred Holy Scripture.
We do not acknowledge the Apocrypha, Pseudepigrapha, Gnostic Gospels, Book of Mormon or anything of the like to be divinely inspired.
(2 Tim. 3:16; Gal 1:8)
Divinity
Doctrine of the Godhead
We believe that the God of Christianity (Yahweh-Jesus-Holy Spirit) is the creator of all things, is all-powerful, all-knowing, and sovereign to do as He wills.
(Acts 14:15; Jer. 32:17; Eph. 3:20; Psa. 139:1-4; 1 Sam.2:6-8; Psa. 24:1)
We believe that God is one, but reveals Himself through the roles of three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
Therefore, we believe that each person of this structure is equally God.
(1 Cor. 6:44; 1 Cor. 8:6; Rom. 1:7; Isa. 9:6; Jn. 1:1; Acts 5:3; Heb 9:14; Jn. 4.24)
Holy Spirit Doctrine of the Holy Spirit We believe the work of the Holy Spirit is first of all to glorify Christ.
(John 16:14)
We believe that the Spirit lives within and makes His dwelling in our hearts and we have fellowship with Him.
(1 Cor. 6:19; 2 Cor. 1:22; Gal. 4:6; 2 Cor. 13:14)
The Holy Spirit is fully divine, his name being used interchangeably with the name “God”.
(Acts 5:3-4; 1 Cor. 3:16; 6:19)
Virgin Birth
Doctrine of Virgin Conception
We believe that Jesus was literally conceived and born as flesh and blood of a virgin named Mary.
(Isaiah 7:14: Luke 1:26-33)
Resurrection Doctrine of Resurrection
We earnestly await Christ's return to gather (we) His people, both the living and the dead.
(Matt. 24:30-36; John 14:1-3; 1 Cor. 15:21-23; 1 Thes 4:16-17)
Rites and Ordinances of Our Faith Doctrine of Christian Ordinances
We regard worship as the very foundation upon which every rite of the Christian faith stands.
(Exo. 20:3; Matt. 22:38; John 4:23; Rev. 4)
We baptize with water as a testimony of faith and obedience to Jesus Christ.
(Matt. 28:19; Acts 2:38-41)
We observe communion (the bread and the cup) as a means to remember our Lord.
(Luke 22:19; 1 Cor. 11:24)
Salvation Doctrine of Salvation We proclaim that Jesus lived a sinless life; thereby, being qualified to forgive our sins with His blood.
(1 Pet. 2:22; 1 Jn. 3:5)
We declare that salvation is in none other than through the name, person, work, life, death, resurrection, and grace of Jesus Christ alone.
Further, we believe that Jesus Christ was literally (bodily) resurrected from the dead and alive forevermore, ruling with the Father.
(Jn. 14:6; Jn. 3:16; Jn. 10:17-18; Rom. 1:4; Rom.5:8)
Eternity Doctrine of Eternity We believe that those who die refusing God's salvation spend eternity separated from the Father.
(Psa. 9:17; Psa. 73:12-19; Dan. 12:3; Matt. 25:46; Luke 16:23.26; Jn. 12:48; 2 Thes. 1:8-9)
We confirm that those who belong to Christ will inherit eternal life.
(Dan. 12:2-3; Matt. 25:46; John 3:16, 17:3; 2 Cor. 4:17; 2 Tim. 2:10)
Leadership Doctrine of Christian Leadership
We testify that Christ holds the supreme authority, above all people, governments, nations and laws.
(Phil. 2:9; Col. 1:18, 2:10; Eph. 1:22; Heb 1:4)
We joyfully observe Christ as the Head of the church. He alone should govern it.
(Eph. 1:22, 5:23; Col. 1:18, 2:10)
We believe all ministers of Christ should lead by His example of a servant -never as dictators.
(Jn. 13:3-16; Ph. 2:3-8)
